A launch is more than publishing a homepage. The best time to catch broken forms, missing metadata, confusing buttons, and forgotten mobile details is before customers find them.
Content and calls to action
Proofread key pages, verify contact details and pricing, remove placeholder content, and make sure every important page has a clear next action.
Mobile and responsive behavior
Test real phones when possible. Check menus, buttons, forms, tables, modals, images, long headings, and anything that sits near the edge of the screen.
Forms and email delivery
Submit every form from beginning to end. Confirm the visitor sees a success message and that the correct inbox receives the message. Test errors too, not only the happy path.
Links and navigation
Click primary navigation, footer links, buttons, social links, email links, phone links, downloads, and external destinations. Look for old staging URLs and accidental dead ends.
SEO basics
Give each important page a useful title and meta description. Confirm one clear H1, sensible heading structure, descriptive image alt text, canonical URLs, robots.txt, and an XML sitemap.
Analytics
Confirm analytics loads on production and records the actions you care about. At minimum, know whether people are arriving, which pages they use, and whether important conversion actions can be measured.
Accessibility
Check keyboard navigation, visible focus, form labels, color contrast, alt text, button names, heading order, and motion that may need a reduced-motion option.
Performance
Compress oversized images, avoid unnecessary scripts, test page speed, and check that the site does not shift around dramatically while loading.
Privacy and trust
Make sure privacy, terms, and cookie information match the technologies actually used. If the site collects sensitive information or payments, verify the correct secure workflow is in place.
The final human test
Ask someone unfamiliar with the project to complete one or two important tasks. Watching where they hesitate can reveal more than another hour of polishing.
